Among many other challenges, inventory management can become a serious issue as players progress further in Silent Hill f. Players will start the game with just eight inventory slots, which will be used to carry all the offerings and consumables. However, players can find six inventory upgrades during their playthroughs of the game, which can increase the total inventory slots up to a maximum of 14. Here’s the location for all inventory upgrades in Silent Hill f.
Inventory Upgrade 1: Shoulder Bag Location in Silent Hill f
The first inventory upgrade can be found as soon as Chapter 3: Ebisugaoka (second visit) in Silent Hill f. Once players start the chapter in front of the Chizuruya General Store, they’ll need to simply walk down the main street and enter the alleyway lit by a light bulb on the left.
Keep following the alleyway to the left to arrive in an open area with two Kashimashi enemies. There’s a wooden crate to the left of the big tree that players can check out to get the Shoulder Bag upgrade and increase their inventory space by +1 in Silent Hill f.
Inventory Upgrade 2: School Bag Location
The second inventory upgrade can be found in Chapter 6: Ebisugaoka Middle School in Silent Hill f. Once players retrieve the girls locker room key from one of the open classrooms in the Old Annex, they can unlock the area.
Once inside, you’ll need to open the locker for Suga Yosie, with the combination (code) 505. Inside the locker, you’ll find the School Bag inventory upgrade.
Inventory Upgrade 3: Dirty Drawstring Bag Location in Silent Hill f
The third inventory upgrade, Dirty Drawstring Bag, can be found in Chapter 9: Main Hall (Dark Shrine) area in Silent Hill f. Once Hinako completes the second ritual with the Fox Mask, she’ll arrive in an area with two flights of stairs. Head upstairs, and you’ll arrive in an area with enemies and broken flooring.
Move around the broken floor, and players can get the Dirty Drawstring Bag on top of one of the drawers.
Inventory Upgrade 4: Furoshiki Location
The fourth inventory upgrade in Silent Hill f can be found in Chapter 11: Shimizu Residence. More specifically, players will need to head to Shimizu Residence III (third variant) to get the inventory upgrade.
The Furoshiki can be found inside the kitchen, towards the southwest section of the house. The kitchen is located right next to the room with the big wooden creature. It’s the same area where you acquire the Propane Tube to melt the Block of Wax to get the crest for the My Room puzzle. After entering the kitchen, players will spot the blue-colored Furoshiki placed on a table towards the right of the entrance.
Inventory Upgrade 5: Packing Tips Location in Silent Hill f
The next inventory upgrade can only be found in New Game+, so players will need to complete Silent Hill f at least once to get it. Once you start New Game Plus and exit Hinako’s home, keep following the critical path until you encounter the first Hokora Shrine.
Head down the path from the shrine to spot a home with its doors open. Enter the house and get the Balcony Key from a box inside an open room on the second floor. Now, head to the terrace and enter the adjacent room using the key. There’s a wooden box on the desk that you can open to receive the Packing Tips inventory upgrade in Silent Hill f.
Inventory Upgrade 6: Embroidered Drawstring Bag Location
The sixth and final inventory upgrade in Silent Hill f can also be acquired early on, in Chapter 4: Corridors. Simply head to the location marked on the map above to spot one of the Inari-Sama doors. Since you’ve received the Brooch from the Fox Mask in the original ending, you’ll be able to open the room in New Game+ playthrough.
Enter the room and check the shelves at the back, behind the table, to get the Embroidered Drawstring Bag. This final upgrade will raise your max inventory capacity to 14 slots, and will unlock the Fervent Collector trophy in Silent Hill f.
