U.S. international Folarin Balogun will need surgery after reaggravating his shoulder injury in Monaco's match against Marseille on Dec. 1.
The USMNT striker, who originally dislocated his shoulder in October, has made just two appearances since returning – and could now face another lengthy spell out. He missed the Ligue 1 side's match with Toulouse last weekend and is set to miss the clash against his former side Arsenal this week, among other matches.
“It is a shame for him and a shame for us,” Adi Hutter confirmed in a news conference.
