According to , Milan want €30 million (£25m/$35m) for Musah, while Atalanta aim to seal the deal for €25m (£22m/$29m) plus bonuses. However, Atalanta must first sell Marco Brescianini to Napoli before completing a move for Musah, and with Milan already searching for a replacement, the American's deal could spark a domino effect across Serie A.

Musah joined Milan from Valencia in 2023, but his time at the club has been difficult. Goalless in two seasons, he's remained on the fringes of the squad. Despite being valued by coach Massimiliano Allegri, Milan have listed the USMNT midfielder for sale, with Nottingham Forest interested in his signature.
