Los Angeles is the Galaxy's town after Riqui Puig led a memorable comeback in , inspiring a 4-2 win over Los Angeles FC.
It was a tale of two halves, to put it lightly, and the first half was all LAFC. Mateusz Bogusz quieted the home fans at Dignity Health Sports Park with a goal just four minutes in, heading home a deflected Denis Bouanga cross. Bouanga himself then made it 2-0 in the 15th minute by sliding in a shot at the near post to continue LAFC's hot start.
That was all it was, though: a start.
The Galaxy came out in the second half and fired two goals of their own, opening with a 53rd-minute finish from Dejan Joveljic. Then Puig would get to work. The midfielder teed up Edwin Cerrillo to level the score at 2-2.
Jovelijic, would then score the deciding goal, finishing the Galaxy's third on a fantastic flick of a Puig shot. Puig added another goal for good measure, too, sealing a 4-2 win and completing a stunning come-from-behind triumph in .

With the win, the Galaxy now take the lead in the all-time series, having won 10, lost nine and drawn five against their cross-town rivals.
THE MVP
It's not often the guy with a brace gets ignored here, but we're going to shout out Puig for his job pulling the strings. The Spanish star assisted LAFC's game-tying and game-winning goals, although, to be fair, Cerillo will get a lot of credit for his banger. Puig, meanwhile, created six total chances while also scoring that banger of his own.
Whenever something good happened for the Galaxy, Puig was likely the one making it happen.
THE BIG LOSER
There are plenty of LAFC players you can toss in here as the team, in general, fell apart in the second half. Basically, if the name wasn't Bouanga, Bogusz or Timothy Tillman, any other LAFC player could easily find themselves named in this section.
Lewis O'Brien gets singled out for his red card, though, as his dismissal ensured that LAFC's spiral in the match would continue to get worse and worse.
