Former U.S. men's national team forward Jozy Altidore, along with NBA legends Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter, are reportedly in talks to buy a minority stake in NFL team Buffalo Bills.

Sportico reports that the Bills, who have a $5.08 billion valuation, and their majority owners the Pegula family, are seeking investors. Earlier this year, the NFL organization announced they hired capital market firm Allen & Co. to help search for a non-controlling investment stake worth around 25 percent.

No paperwork has been signed yet, and the deal may yet fall through, according to Sportico.

The trio all have connections to nearby Toronto, where they all played at during respective moments in their career. McGrady and Carter both began their historic careers with the Toronto Raptors, while Altidore played for MLS side Toronto FC from 2015-2021.

The Pegula family bought into the Bills in 2014 for a then-NFL record of $1.4 billion, beating out the likes of both former U.S. President Donald Trump and legendary rock artist Jon Bon Jovi.
